This is the famous Mt. Orab, Ohio trilobite quarry which has produced over 15,000 trilobites. First opened in 1981, the trilobite layer is 30 feet below the surface and must be exposed by heavy equipment. A 9 1/2" Isotelus from this locality was loaned to the Ohio department of Natural Resources to present to Ohio governor Dick Celeste as an example of the State Fossil.
